Dear fellow Aidpage members.  I was asked to send out this request on behalf of another Aidpage member, http://mrsdraper.aidpage.com/, since she no longer has access to a computer.  She and her husband are parents to 3 toddlers.  Until recently, this family of 5 was living in the same home with her mother, brother, and disabled aunt, which made a total of 8 people living under the same roof.  This was not out of choice, but out of desperation of not being able to afford a place of their own since her husband has been unemployed for almost a year and unable to find work.  This crowded living condition was brought to the attention of DFCS, and they were given 24 hours to find another home big enough to accommodate 8 people or lose custody of their children.  This mother's only option was to temporarily turn over custody of her children to her sister until they could relocate. 

They have now moved into a bigger place in Ellenwood, GA but have absolutely no funds left to get the electricity turned on.  They are also in need of food, clothing, and other necessity items.  They visited several local churches in the area but were turned away due to the church's lack of funds.  I've made contact with the electric company to see what kind of help, if any, they can offer.  Her only wish is to regain custody of her children.  She has a PayPal account, mrssaywhat@yahoo.com, if anyone is able to make a small donation to help with food, clothing, and electricity.  Any suggestions or referrals would also be most appreciated.

I dont know what to do anymore. For the past few months, instead of paying the bills, my boyfriend(now ex) has been skimming off of me and what lil money i make. He has lied for months about a drug additction that i thought he quit, and come to find out it never stopped (stupid me). He has moved all of his stuff out, but now everything is my fault. The situation is much deeper, and has been going on for 3 years. We have a 16 month old son together, but he doesn't seem to care anymore. The other day, our electricity was shut off. I need to put it in my name, but my old bill is $776. This is also due to him not paying the bill. No one will help me, because it is an old bill. He has also not paid the landlord for a two months. I owe him almost $1300. In witch i have paid the biggest part of that, but i have no money after that to pay any other bill. I am waiting to hear from this part time job. While my car is broken down, I will walk if I have to. I just need to know if there is anyone out there that can help in anyway. I have called all of the resources I can, and no one will help. I am desperate. I have finally broken free of this abusive "man," and just want to get my life in order. I just need help to get over this hurdle. Have you talked to your utilty company about a payment plan for you can keep medicines refrigerated? Is there a neighbor around that could refrigerate them for you??  I need help in paying rent and light bill due to me working but not making enough to cover rent. I have two kids and my husband lost his job and pretty much everything is on me to make sure things get paid on time. I have become so stressed out behind this and I just want help to relieve some of this stress.

hello. i  am 51  years  ole .. trying  my  best  even  thor we   try  are  ebst ..  bill  people  rings  my phone # .. asking for payment .. when u  tell  them  u like  to send  what u  can .. due  to hard ships.. they  ask  why  u  fall behine ..  and  when u  tell  them  how  u  got  behine..  they  seem  not to care .. husband  went back to work  april  2008 ..  was  working  good  trying to  get caught up  on  all of  our  bills .. he  was  off  for   about  year  be4  that  due  to  he  had  cancer ..had to have  surgey  to  remove  cancer from  his nose. and  then  he had to  have  treatments.. so when  he  went back to work  we  mae  are  house  payments .. and  was  trying to  meet  all other  bills.. now  come  he  lay  abck  off  lack of  work.. we  try to  work  with  bills . itsahrd..  even thro we  ask  for  help  call up   the  nipsco , talk  to  to  any one  that u  own  money too .  hopeing  they work with us ..  ahhhhh  guess what ..  all they want to  do   is  repo  ur e car  , house  and  shut off people  utility..  not work with you  @ all  that sad .. now  can  any one  out there  tell  me any  diff .. casue i  have  try  to seek  help and  call around   ..  not  one  reply .. after all  i am  trying  all  so  to  help raise a  4  year  grandson ..  whom  ever  read  this  god  bless  you  too .. thank for  your  time  in  just ing as  most  does

There are many people facing disconnection of their heating due to non-payment, however in certain circumstances, you do have some protection under the law. Check out your state guidelines and how you are protected if you are facing a disconnection

In your twn there a once a year gas help, all your gas company and they will tell you who is doing it, if you can't get information let me know and i will help do some research

Hi.  I am not going make a posting because I do not want to hinder or delay any assistance you may receive.  However, I am in the same situation.  Married couple with three children, ages 2, 3 & 8.  I am working but it is not enough.  If and when you receive assistance could you please share some information with me so I can know who to call on for help.  And that "worse feeling in the world" you were talking about; know that you are not feeling it alone.

See if they have a CEASE program in your area and in the meantime apply for Energy Assistance.  You may also have a Catholic Charity in your area and you do not have to be catholic to get help. They are faster than any other program

Im a single mother of 2 and I am recently unemployed.  I applied for unemployment but I wont get the first check for 4 weeks. I dont know where to turn, can you help me???

Hi my name is Dawn and we are in desprite need of rent monies we owe $2300 in back rent are are about to be evicted and are over drawn by 731.00 in our checking account. I am on a fixed income of 930 a month, I am 71 yrs of age and due to medicine and hospital bills, all my bills are behind.  I have been using whatever I receive in my monthy check to pay these bills, but I cannot elimate them.  Because of this I am short on food.  I have tried dealing with the utility companies and applying for public help but I have exhausted those as well.  All of my 3 utilitiy bills are behind, but because of 1, the other 2 are suffering.  I need help with this 1 bill so I can catch up with the rest.  I appreciate any help.

I am a 21 year old mother of 3 children in diapers. My father recently died and left my mom and I the house. I live in the back house with my boyfriend and 3 children youngest is 1 week old. My mom works PT for the county. I have not been able to work because of being pregnant. She only charges me $100. a week to help with bills. I am now in debt to her for $1800.00 in back rent. She depends on my share to make the mortgage and utlities and everything else. The electric bill is in my name and is now behind $700.00. we have no way to pay this right now. All of our bills are behind. I am looking for work now but haven't had much luck. My boyfriend barely makes enough money for food and diapers etc.. for the children. We are sinking fast. We have tried government assistance and had no luck with them. Is there anybody who can help us.

I recently had my gas disconnected because I couldnt pay all of my payment arrangement.The reason is because I had to use the money to buy medicine for my 5 year old daughter with severe asthma.The gas company shut us off and they want 1160 to turn it back on.I cnat afford that much but all of the places I apply for assistance wont help me.I have no heat and no hot water.I have 3 children ages 5, 8, 11.I am desperate for help.
